The Student Senate has established a student identification system. The system is based on the use of a personalized, properly validated photo ID card which is required of all students. Appointments for ID pictures are made through the Wellness Center staff and ID cards are issued at the Bursar’s Office.

The cards are used for identification at the Library, Wellness Center, social functions, Bookstore, student activities, intramurals, and other NHTI sponsored on and off campus activities. The card is also needed by all residence hall students in order to gain access to their respective hall, as well as a means of identification for campus Dining Services.

The card may also be used at various businesses which promote special rates for products or services for students enrolled in college. A student must produce their NHTI Photo Identification card when requested by a Campus Safety Officer or other campus official.

The card is good throughout a student’s enrollment at NHTI, with proper validation from the Bursar’s Office. There is no charge for the initial identification card. A student will be accessed a $10.00 fee for a replacement card if the original is lost, stolen or damaged. All students are responsible to advise Campus Safety immediately if they believe their card is lost or stolen.
